BOEING B-17 FLYING FORTRESS

$9.95

Title: Boeing B-17 No’s 1 and 2

The B-17 four-engined heavy bomber was the second most numerous US bomber of WW2 after the B-24. Although the first Y1B-17 flew in 1936 the aircraft did not enter large scale production until after Pearl Harbor. Almost 13,000 were eventually built, the B-17F (3,400) and the B-17G (8,700) being the most numerous production variants.

The aircraft was largely employed in the daylight strategic bombing role using speed, altitude and a heavy defensive armament, but it also served many other roles including transport, maritime patrol, search and rescue, etc. It had a reputation for toughness and the ability to return to base after sustaining substantial damage

We offer two titles for the B-17 series including flight manuals for the most common variants. The files have been copied from the original flight manuals and retain any colour pages. Each title is S$9.95.
