BRANTLY B-2

Title: Brantly B-2 No’s 1 and 2

The Brantly B-2 was the second helicopter design by Newby Brantly, (the first, a co-axial rotor design known as the B-1 was not successful), and first flew in 1953. FAA certification was not achieved until 1959, but the type was in almost continuous production for the next 50 odd years. There are three variants, the B-2, B-2A and B-2B, which differ in engine variant, rotor blades and maximum take-off weight. All examples are able to be converted to B-2B model.

The company has changed hands a number of times, and locations a number of times, and overall through various manufacturing entities nearly 500 examples have been manufactured. The company was reportedly acquired by a Chinese company in 2007 and production transferred to China, but none of that was reflected in the FAA documentation.

We offer two titles covering the Brantly B-2 series. The first covers Flight and Training manuals plus a publicity brochure, and the second covers the Maintenance and Parts manuals and another publicity brochure. The manuals have been scanned from the originals and retain any colour pages. Each title is US$9.95.
