Title: Dornier 228

In the 1970’s, Dornier developed a new wing design with government assistance. This was initially tested on a modified Do28D Skyservant fitted with PT6 turboprop engines. A new fuselage was designed, and the resulting aircraft became the Dornier 228. The prototype first flew in May 1981 and type certification was granted 7 months later in December 1981.

245 examples were built in Germany between 1981 and 1998. Another 125 were built in India under licence. In 2009 a New Generation variant was developed using newer technologies such as a 5-bladed propeller and a glass cockpit. The program was sold to General Atomics in 2020.

This title contains the pilot’s operating handbook for the Dornier 228, along with two manufacturer’s publicity brochures, all in English. The files have been scanned from the original documents and retain any colour pages unless otherwise stated.
