Title:  Ted Smith Aerostar

Ted Smith was a well-known aircraft designer initially working for Douglas on the A-20 and A-26. He left Douglas to help form the company building the Aero Commander business twins for which he was the chief designer. In the mid 60’s he formed his own company to build a new twin-engine executive aircraft, the Aerostar.

The Aerostar first flew in 1967, and with a lightweight construction, low drag and powerful engines it was a sprightly performer. There were two main models, the 600 and the 601 with turbocharged engines. The 601 held the world speed record for production twin-engine piston powered general aviation aircraft.

This title contains a flight manual and an owner’s manual for the two variants of the Ted Smith Aerostar along with a nice manufacturer’s brochure. The files have been scanned from the original flight manuals and retain any colour pages.
