WINDECKER AC-7 EAGLE

Title: Windecker AC-7 Eagle

The Windecker Eagle was the first fibreglass composite aircraft to receive FAA type certification, and first flew in 1967. Although the construction process is commonplace today it was new for certificated aircraft in the late 1960’s and the company spent a large sum achieving certification.

One example known as the YE-5 was supplied to the USAF for radar detectability testing of composite aircraft. Only 8 aircraft had been completed when the company ran out of finance and it closed in 1976. The rights and type certificate are currently owned by a Chinese entrepreneur and in 2015 it was reported efforts were being made to put the aircraft into production in China.

This title contains the manufacturer’s FAA approved airplane flight manual and a colour brochure for the Windecker Eagle. The files have been scanned from the original flight manuals and retain any colour pages.
