Title: Potez 630 631 63-11

The Potez 63 was the generic designation for a series of aircraft that between them were the most numerous in French service during WW2, acting as night fighters, day fighters, light bombers, reconnaissance aircraft and army co-operation aircraft. Unfortunately, although only entering service in 1938, by 1940 the entire family of aircraft was suffering from a lack of engine power and was verging on obsolescence. Around 1,395 were built and a few soldiered on in the training role after 1945.

The Potez 630 was a fighter variant, roughly equivalent to the Messerschmitt 110, and fitted with Hispano-Suiza radial engines, and the Potez 631 was a similar aircraft but fitted with Gnome-Rhone engines. In service the Hispano-Suiza engines proved unreliable and most 630’s were relegated to the training role. The Potez 63-11 was optimised for the reconnaissance role with the pilot seated in a raised position above the observer (see main photo above), and was the lost numerous produced.

We offer two titles for the Potez 63 series. The first title contains the instruction manuals for operation and maintenance of the Potez 630 and the Potez 631. The second title contains three technical manuals covering the operation, performance and maintenance of the Potez 63-11. The files have been scanned from the original manuals and retain any colour pages unless otherwise stated. Each title is US$9.95.
