The Savoia-Marchetti S.M.81 Pipistrello (Bat) was the first three-engined transport/bomber aircraft in Italian military service, and when it first appeared in 1935 it was fast, well-armed with a long range, and represented a step forward in Italian military aviation. Approx. 535 examples were built and it proved one of the most useful and versatile aircraft in Italian service until 1944.

This title includes the Italian Defence Ministry maintenance manual and the manufacturer’s parts manual for the S.M.81 (known as the S.81 at the time) Pipistrello, in Italian, along with the Aircraft Profile for the S.M.81. The files have been scanned from the original manuals and retain any colour pages.
