Title: Dornier 328

The Dornier 328 was developed by the Dornier Company in Germany and first flew in 1991, entering commercial service in 1993. In 1996 the program was sold to Fairchild with manufacturing continuing in Germany with sales and support from San Antonio in Texas. The late 1990’s was a period of economic recession and in spite of the technical advances of the aircraft sales were slow. Production ceased in 2000 after approx. 217 had been built, and Fairchild-Dornier went into bankruptcy in 2002.

The program has been through several hands since then with several attempts to put the aircraft back into production. A turbofan powered version known as the 328JET was produced which first flew in 1998, and 100 examples were produced between 1998 and 2002 when the program fell victim to the same company bankruptcy. As with the propeller variant there have been continued but unsuccessful efforts to restart production.

This title contains the flight crew operating manual for the Dornier 328 (prop), one volume from the manufacturer and two volumes from an operating airline, along with a manufacturer’s publicity brochure, all in English.
