Title: Yakovlev YAK-18T

The YAK-18T is a 4/5 seat fully aerobatic utility/training aircraft which first flew in 1967 and was intended for training pilots for the Soviet airline Aeroflot. It also saw service with the Russian Air Force in the communications role, and a number of other Russian-aligned air arms in the training role. Similar in size to the Cessna 172 or Piper Cherokee it is considerably heavier and more powerful. Over 750 examples have been produced and the type is popular amongst Western aircraft enthusiasts.
